How is the ground clearance affected?

The bike is 1 ¼” closer to the ground, introducing the need to proceed cautiously over speed bumps. Installing a belly pan is recommended.

Drop 1-1/4" with "stock" center stand - lose 1-1/4" clearance underneath

Drop 1-1/4" with our "after market" center stand - lose only 3/4" clearance

Drop 1" with stock center stand - lose 1" clearance underneath

Drop 1" with our "after market" center stand - lose only 1/2" underneath

Drop 3/4" with "stock" center stand - lose 3/4" clearance underneath

Drop 3/4" with our "after market" center stand - lose only 1/4" clearance

Is it difficult to install?

The suspension lowering bracket replaces the original Honda bracket and can be changed by a competent mechanic in less than two hours with normal hand tools.

How is the suspension travel affected?

You have the same travel as before but is more "weight sensitive".

Is it as strong as the original Honda bracket?

The unit has been tested and proven stronger than the original bracket.

What is the effect on the side stand?

A tapered shim is included with purchase along with instructions.

What is the effect on the center stand?

The stock center stand becomes extremely difficult to use. An aftermarket replacement stand is recommended, which also give more ground clearance than stock center-stand. Our center-stand is the best fit with lowering the bike that we have come up with so far. It goes up like the stock stand but comes down a little harder than we like. This stand does work as to the “stock one won't after lowering the bike”. This stand gives more ground clearance on the very bottom than the stock one in the up position.

What influence does the new bracket have on tire size?

Stock tire size is suggested unless progressive springs are installed. Oversized tires will hit the inner fender easier on stock suspension.

Is the new bracket compatible with the original Honda bearings & seals?

They use the very same bearings and seals as Honda.

Does this bracket affect the handling?

The handling is slightly better because of the "lower center of gravity" after lowering the back with the Bracket / Link and lowering the front by sliding the front fork tubes up 1/2" to 5/8".

What are the different size brackets is that how much the bike is lowered?

The 3 sizes are 1-1/4" 300 lbs (136kg) max - 1" 350 lbs (158kg) max - 3/4" 400 lbs (181kg) max recommended with stock suspension.

What is the install time?

The install time is 1 to 2-1/2 hours.
